They are two totally different guitars! I guess there really was no reason for me to get another casino, but they do sound quite different and feel different to play. I will say that the quality of the newer casino is GREAT. It really needs no improvement. I did feel that acoustically it was louder and had more bottom end. To me this must have something to do with the newer casino being slightly larger in body but not any thicker than my late 90's casino. The frets felt great and the tuners feel really smooth but not too loose at all. I LOVE that it comes with a padded gig bag! It really is a great guitar that fortunately did not suffer too much of a price increase like most other brands. The pickups on my older casino sure does sound GREAT as well.
